Check in was very quick and simple. The room was spotless and nicely laid out. The bathroom was equally clean if not more so. Dinner in the pub itself was a pleasure with uncomplicated food made really well at a good price. Buttermilk panna cotta with honeycomb pieces and mango sorbet deserves a special mention... The level of provisions (personal care items/range of soaps etc) in the en-suite bathroom showed a considerable amount of thought had gone into what was available and would likely cover most eventualities. Ample parking off street and easy to get to. Much like dinner breakfast was good fuss free food made well with the little good morning sign being a nice touch.

Lovely old pub in small village, with a small camping area behind, nice garden, pub has restaurant as well, very nice meal in the evening, nice to see the pub full with people from the campsite and village chatting. Lovey big room on the ground floor, overlooking the garden, very comfortable bed, good shower over bath, very quiet. Breakfast felt a little underwhelming, it was enough, but probably 2 rashers of proper bacon, rather than one piece of supermarket bacon, overcooked and dry,and two eggs would have made it better, no choice of white or brown toast, toast overcooked and cold. Uneven steps from bar area to the room,

Keith

We enjoyed our stay at the Masons Arms, and would be happy to visit again.Staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms quiet, clean and well maintained with a really comfy bed. we had a good breakfast, it came on time. the evening meal was good quality pub food. the location is very picturesque, with views across pretty open countryside. Close to National trust property Montacute house.

Pretty village location Great dog friendly place with owner working here to give a very warm welcome. The cleaners deserve a mention as the room is immaculately clean and comfortable. We were on our way to Penzance so stayed over for just one night to ease the journey and it certainly did that so Thank you.

Staff very friendly and attentive. Evening meal and breakfast was excellent, My room was comfortable with plenty of room, shower was instantly hot. The location was excellent, in a quiet location, however the pub filled up and was very atmospheric like a good country pub should be
